Help me, my Lord

to be more patient than I am

Little things upset and annoy me

if life does not flow smoothly

in the direction I think it ought to flow

I become foolishly upset and

even if I say little

I think a lot and

deep within I am like

a seething cauldron

Grant me the ability and grace

My Lord

to absorb the knocks of life

without damage to my peace and serenity

Let me realise that

there are many big

and beautiful things in life

waiting to be discovered and enjoyed

that only a foolish person allows

trivial things to upset him

May my view of life be the one that

is given to those who walk with Thee

and climb the Heights of God

Allow me to see life as something

wonderful and grand because

I live it in fellowship with Thee

So may Divine Patience and Peace

fill my entire being

and nothing

nothing at all

can disturb or upset me

Because my entire life

is centred upon Thee

O Living Christ

Help me, my Lord

to be more patient than I am....
